Roof Cleaning

We're proud to offer, 3 forms of roof cleaning here at Proteus,

1. scrape and biocide treatment.

This where the use of specialist scraper blade attachments either flat or profiled, depending on the tile, then the moss/lichen is removed manually withe the blades attached to a carbon fibre pole, just like the poles used for window cleaning.

2. pressure clean and biocide treatment.

This is best for instant results, "wouldn't this damage my roof?" i hear you ask, the short answer is no, the use of specialist roof cleaning rotary cleaner are used at a relatively low water pressure, especially when compared to the pressure we use on ground surfaces. as long as your roof is in good condition it will be perfect to have this service carried out.

3. Biocide only treatment.

This is where just the biocide is applied to your roof, stopping moss/lichen/bio matter in its tracks, stopping it from damaging your roof. all debris once dead in time will naturally fall away.

We recommend a re application of biocide every 2-3 years to keep organic growth off your roof and out of your gutters, preventing costly repairs and ultimate curb appeal.

Access

For most two story residential properties we use our own scaffolding that we bring and erect on site. for tall buildings or intricate roofs we may use a MEWP (cherry picker) to gain access, for commercial factories etc. depending on the pitch/material and harness points access method will vary.

All our staff are IPAF trained and insured to work on your property so you can rest easy knowing we have you covered.
